Prerequisite: K9 Nose Work, Dogs 10 months and over

Class Description: This class is for dogs over the age of 10 months that have successfully completed 2 sessions of K9 Nose Work 1. Dog and Handler Team must have solid fundamental Nose Work skills.
This class is a continuation of canine scent detection skills and ability. You and your dog will remain working on target odors birch, anise, and clove. Introduction to the four different search elements; container, interior, exterior, and vehicles. Develop and strengthen your dogs foundational search skills. Sharpen your observation skills. Improve the human-canine bond.
Dog & Handler teams will progress at a comfortable pace. Advanced detection and handling skills will be instructed with the advancement of each team. How to Prepare:
- Wear comfortable shoes/sneakers, (no open toed shoes/sandals)
- Don’t feed your dog for a few hours before class, this will keep him food motivated it will also prevent unwanted car sickness
- Puppies can have half of their normal meal the morning of class and finish when they get back home
- Potty your dog, before class, in the designated areas
What to Bring:
- Flat Buckle or Snap Collar
- 6’ leash, (no Flexi-leads)
- High Value Dog Treats (treats your dog really loves)
- Poop bags for cleaning up after your dog
- Comfortable working Harness
- Long Line
- All adult dogs are required to have a Rabies Vaccination. Please bring a copy of your Rabies Certificate to your first class.
